Borage Seed - Slightly Bitter Cucumber or Melon Flavor, Edible Flowers


Borage is an amazing plant to grow as a microgreens! Typically grown to maturity for it's pretty edible star shaped flowers, it also makes for a tasty microgreen. Its flavor profile is most similar to cucumber, with a slight tartness, and it's very popular with chefs and foodies! Loaded with vitamin C, A and iron, it's also a high nutrition plant, and is used for treating inflammation and depression. Grow as a micro, or in your garden to full size for it's flowers.

Micro Uses:


Borage adds unique flavor and texture to your dishes.  Use it in green salads for some crunch, or in fruit salads for an interesting color and complimenting taste.    

  • Growing Information

    1 Ounce of Seed When Used as a Micro:

    10" x 10" trays seeded (crops) = 1 crop

    Best medium to grow in = Best in coco coir or soil

    One crop in a 10" x 10" tray will yield = About 6 ounces of micros

    Days from seed to harvest = 12-16

    Need to soak the seed before planting = yes, overnight
