Nasturtium is a challenging plant to spell and pronounce, but an amazing plant to grow as a microgreen! Typically grown to maturity for it's pretty edible flowers, it also makes a gorgeous microgreen with variegated foliage and long stems. Its flavor profile is most closely associate with wasabi, with a noticeable kick, and also hints of pepper. Its unique look and taste is helping this micro gain popularity with chefs and foodies everywhere! Nasturtium takes a little longer to grow than most micros, around 14-16 days from seed to harvest, but it's definitely worth the wait!
Micro Uses:
Nasturtium will add a unique flavor profile to any dish. Amazing in spring rolls when using full leaves and stems, and also provides a good kick of flavor to sandwiches and salads.
